" On the other side of the coin, that prisoner was facilitating the need for a prison officer(s), and all the other ancillary staff necessary to maintain their captivity. People's careers and livelihoods essentially. Sure, at a cost to the tax payer I know, but then that's part of the contract the citizen has with The State. (We can debate whether The State "serves" the citizen efficiently in another thread, because there's no clear consensus on that, nor will there ever be, as it's fundamentally impossible to achieve it for everyone). | |||

"Good riddance Nonces don’t deserve the luxury of still breathing air, yes maybe if prison was still how it was when it was more of a punishment can justify keeping them alive but in this day and age any form of noncery no matter if they haven’t yet interfered with a child (eg child porn on pc) if it is 100% certain the suspect is guilty then they should be put to death there is no need for the sick fucks to exist in this world any longer Failing that as it’s highly unlikely modern society would go for such an approach they need to be living in fear every minute of their lives in prison no more own wing with the other nonces, general population and cell door removed so they face the threat of violence at all times harming a child is the utter worst anyone can do and deserve the most severe punishment available Glad this fucking nonce is dead wish it happened more often " ‘If it’s 100% certain’ is frequently shaky ground. While I agree with the practical sentiment of "guilt is impossible to establish with 100% certainty", that still leaves the door open to admitting that the death penalty is ethically defensible.
