Starmer - China’s Gimp

So what’s going on with this trial of Berry/Cash for spying for China?

They were charged under the Official Secrets Act for gathering sensitive information on MP’s and passing it to China to help influence UK foreign policy in China’s favour.

The case was dropped by the CPS as it wasn’t provided with sufficient support from the Labour government to help establish that China is actually a threat to the UK’s security.

Starmer as usual blames the Tories.

But the DPP and Starmer’s former top civil servant say that the government could have done more and that China’s status as a security threat to the UK is long established.

The government’s position on China seems weak, unprincipled and confused. It appears unwilling to risk any animosity with China, particularly as its flailing net zero ambitions are massively dependent on buying cheap Chinese tat.
