Another one bites the dust

Siddiq, Rayner, Mandelson, and now Paul Ovenden, Starmer’s senior aide has resigned after explicit texts about Abbott.

The messages don’t appear to have been publicised yet.

A spokesperson for the prime minister called the messages "appalling and unacceptable".

Labour MP Nadia Whittome said the "misogynistic comments...recounted with glee by Paul Ovenden are utterly despicable".

More appalling staff choices by Starmer it seems

Would it be inappropriate to hazard some guesses on the nature of the texts?

Something about banging her with a large strap on apparently. She was 63 when these comments were made.

Terra Firma

I'm reading reports from the BBC and Guardian that he was relaying what was said at a party in a text message, why would he need to resign if that is all he did?

On the face of it that appears to be what has happened.

It’s not befitting of a senior aide to repeat misogynistic comments about a senior MP though is it, and how many people was the text sent on to. Starmer promised high standards of integrity.

No more white saviours Lammy called Trump a misogynist, kkk supporting Nazi psychopath. And wrote the same on twitter. He hasn’t resigned yet.

Starmer has surrounding himself with clumsy people.

North West

‘Mr Ovenden was Sir Keir's director of political strategy’

I’d take that as a win then I think.

Texts date from 2017.

Starmer presumably just desperate to sack anyone for any reason for his dismal performance.

They’ve probably got a dossier of inappropriate behaviour on all staff and MP’s to call on at the opportune moment when someone, anyone, needs to get the blame.
