"Strict rules for British tourists going to EU to come in within weeks Passengers will be asked a series of questions to confirm they have proof of accommodation, sufficient funds for the trip, medical insurance and a return or onward ticket https://www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/article/ees-british-eu-travel-border-force-2025-c0jpmlb62 The UK also now has an entry visa which lasts for two years for those who are not British citizens so a similar system. Of course, rules such as these are no different from those outside the EU - it's just that we don't expect them when holidaying in France, Spain, Germany etc. " I guess it's a Brexit benefit

The red tape although similar to most other countries entry reqs, will be presented in such a way that it will force some people to choose a holiday destination outside of mainland Europe. The result will be a more well travelled person, who has many more cultural experiences than they did before. A brexit benefit I think we can all get behind.

" Passengers will be asked a series of questions to confirm they have proof of accommodation, sufficient funds for the trip, medical insurance and a return or onward ticket " Sounds very reasonable. The same criteria should be applied to the south coast of the uk.

No downside, despite the reality of leaving the EU.
