No great surprise.

Labour is an open borders party through to its core.

The problem Labour has is that part of its support base isn’t.

Ultimately given the choice between open borders and the interests of the working class extra-urban section of its voter base, it will always choose open borders.

Hence the slow defection of a large section of its base to Tories previously and now Reform.

Of course Labour will manage to retain the segment of its base that is similarly minded to its leadership and MP’s: urban dwelling graduates, urban dwelling public sector workers etc. For them immigrants are just their cleaners or the surgeon in the theatre next door with the seven bedroom house so what’s the problem.

Yes The Labour Party needs to get votes where ever they can. And yes I know they can’t vote yet, but one day they will.

You must be correct now you spelt it out in capitals. Police are meant to be impartial, none bias. Does anyone have a number I can call to book a private police escorx to my protest at the weekend. Save me driving there

"They were taken away in the police vans for their own protection from the farage thugs "

Farage thugs?

It was a peaceful protest by local people worried for the safety of their children. There are plenty of videos online clearly showing masked-up left-wing agitators goading the protesters, attempting to get a reaction. When they got the reaction, the mainstream narrative presented only that.

"And can you tell me what was wrong about my statement and what it has got to do with GB news ????"

1. Misleading, the person you replied to didn't claim that the rioting racists had murdered anyone. Just attempted to.

2. The statement was designed to provoke outrage.

3. Included insults.

Perfect for GBNews.

No, but you called him a "moron".

"

"

Depends on your view of GBNews.

"

Sorry to have upset you on here for pointing out a very inconvenient truth.

"

No worries, I'm not upset, I'm also not sure what "inconvenient truth" you have pointed out.

"

What "bullshit"?

What?

I haven't suggested what you should or shouldn't say. And I haven't expressed an opinion here.

So what got you so outraged About my original statement? It obviously struck a nerve. And why was that connected to your smug comment about GB news and what has it got to do with you if I called someone a moron?.

And I don't care if everyone on this site piles on against what I said

"So what got you so outraged About my original statement?

"

No, what made you think I was outraged? I made a light hearted comment.

"

It obviously struck a nerve.

"

No nerve struck, just perplexed by the irrelevant nature of the comment.

"

And why was that connected to your smug comment about GB news and what has it got to do with you if I called someone a moron?.

"

I covered this already, see above post where I answered this for you with three points.

"

And I don't care if everyone on this site piles on against what I said "

Oh no, people will love what you said, this is the politics forum.

I don't want anyone to love what I said at all , I don't seek approval from anyone, I get angry just like the poster who I was replying to who is obviously angry,

Don't worry I'm expecting the insults on my spelling or grammar

Fire away by all means

Hey I have no problem in you calling me a moron , if in some way "in your mind" you think I was in any way excusing the killing of innocent children , in actually fact I am 99.9% against the death penalty, this being an example of the other 0.1% , I can see no way anyone as evil as that can be rehabilitated ,

What in my mind was ( and I will borrow your phrase ) maronic were the crowds gathering the following day to hurl bricks at the same police officers who were not only dealing with a complex investigation and having to talk to families and children involved but who had run into danger to arrest the scumbag the previous day ,, I actually think on this point we will be in complete agreement ( I will be surprised if we aren't but you are entitled to your opinion)

Also struggling to understand why you are defending police being attacked by thugs this week,, but you are entitled to your view you might think it's fine, personally I don't ,

I was surprised that police bussed the counter protesters out the other day but if done for tactical reasons to stop any trouble I don't really have an issue with it
