Yah, this was last year. And the number was 9000 I think. And it breached Afghan data who helped Brits/US during the Afghan war, so they were being hunted by the Taliban/ISIS (from memory).

They were interpreters, Lawyers, Judges, Police, people giving insider knowledge of Taliban/ISIS locations or aiding prosecution. The data leak and resulting non extradition of them meant they couldn't get out of the country - I'm surprised they are still alive, it's probably why it was held Top Secret until released now.

I think this is not as straightforward as headlines might at first sight suggest. These I believe were locals helping the US and UK forces with intelligence and information about the Taliban. If the Taliban were to get hold of these people they would be tortured and ultimately killed.

These are genuine asylum seekers whom I have no issue with coming here.

It’s odd that it’s taken from July 2024 to now to come out. If the super injunction was at the government’s request couldn’t Labour have gone back to court and asked for it to be lifted?

Not really. I am not seeking to defend the Tories’ actions here it clearly happened while they were the government.

I’m just querying why Labour did nothing about it. It looks like Labour has been happy to keep this under wraps too.
