"I don't really follow US politics, but is Trump doing the stuff that the people who voted for him wanted him to do?"

Trump is abusing the powers granted to the Administration by the USA Constitution. Hence the reason numerous courts have stopped his executive actions.

It does not matter how many people voted for him, he is not, as he thinks, a God King. There are limits to his power. The worse part of this is the Republican party in Congress has sacrificed what little integrity it had on the alter of Trump popularism. It will take a generation to live down that shame.

I’m not sure this is a uniquely Republican problem.

The Democrats just spent years covering for “Sleepy Joe” who didn’t know what day it was and spent half of his Presidency at his holiday home.

When they couldn’t cover it up any longer they pushed forward a d*unken candidate whose initial break was given to her by a 60 year old married Mayor she had an affair with when she was in her twenties.

It’s inevitable that Trump’s opponents will use the courts to try to stop Trump’s s agenda. It’s how the US works.

It’s no different than the courts stopping the Democrats’ attempts to jail Trump or stop him standing as a presidential candidate again. The only reason he is President today is because the courts prevented the Democrats abusing their powers.

It’s so funny reading all this bull plop about the greatest world leader this side of the millennium. Sure he ain’t no liberal, is not into woke or pc politics, and I can understand why that would make him the enemy, in the eyes of most on here.

He has to finish the wall, he has to deport illegal immigrants, and LA has spent years allowing them in, and not even bothering to prosecute them, when they committed crimes. Now they are rioting in the streets, because their cushy little lives are going to stop. They will be arrested, they will be deported, nothing is going to stop this.

If they continue rioting, then I hope the national guard shoots the fecking lot of them.

what was the score, well one of them was you break the law your going to prison another was if you trow bricks or petrol bombs at police or point weapons at them you would be shot another was if you stop traffic and surround cars and not let them get to where they were going you will get runover and the driver wouldn't face charges, and guess what they had there protest and it remained peacefully, you see if you let people know there are consequences for there actions they tend not to break the law

It’s no different than the courts stopping the Democrats’ attempts to jail Trump or stop him standing as a presidential candidate again. The only reason he is President today is because the courts prevented the Democrats abusing their powers."

Ronald Reagan had Alzheimer's disease during his presidency although the formal diagnosis was pronounced after. It is the nature of politics that incapacity in a president is covered up.

The difference between the Biden and Trump presidencies is Biden's cabinet was filled with experienced professionals who were capable of running their departments without Biden's supervision. None of Trump's picks for office is qualified, experinced or competent to do the job. In fact if a President wanted to weaken a country he could have not done better.

As an example Biden's Secretary of Defence was a retired 4 star General. Trump's Defence secretary is an alcoholic TV anchor who discussed top secret plans on a commercial chat app and copied in a journalist.

The USA functions on 3 co-equal branches of Government. It was designed that way so no person or branch could take overall control. Many of the Federal Judges that have stopped Trump's executive orders were appointed by Trump or Bush. If Trump breaks the Law, as he has persistently, in the absence of the spineless majority of Republican's in Congress taking action, the Courts are the last line of defence against an authoritarian President.

The courts, using due process, convicted Trump of 34 criminal acts. 42% of those convicted in the same period of the same offences were given custodial sentences. Trump avoided prison by being elected President.

Republican Attorney Generals in states where Trump could have been accused of similar crimes did not take action to enforce the Law for political reasons. Least we forget, a Republican, Trump puppet, judge in Florida abused her powers to delay and obstruct the trial of Trump for breaches under the Espionage Act during Biden's presidency.

The courts did not stop Trump being jailed, the Constitution did. The only reason Trump was elected was because, like other popularist dictators before him, he promised, using lies, the undeliverable to the unquestioning and unthinking masses whilst harnessing their xenophobia in a cult following.

Trump's Administration is currently causing massive damage to the USA which will take generations to repair. There is widespread buyer regret in the USA at present.

The only benefit to come out of Trump's presidency is it has brought Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other democratic countries to gather together in defence of democracy.
