Germany is to spend millions on making 2000 bunkers serviceable in the event of a Russian attack. German civil protection agency has warned the state needs to be prepared for an attack from Russia within the next four years.

In the UK, government defence expert Fiona Hill warns the government to respond to threats by becoming more cohesive and resilient. She goes on:

“Russia has hardened as an adversary in ways that we probably hadn’t fully anticipated,” arguing that Putin saw the Ukraine war as a starting point to Moscow becoming “a dominant military power in all of Europe”.
