"Latest polls suggest that Karol Nawrocki has won Poland’s Presidential election, narrowly beating opponent Rafal Trzaskowski. This is seen as a blow to the EU globalists who favoured Nawrocki’s opponent. Nawrocki is supported by the Law and Justice party, the previous government, and his victory will enable him to continue blocking regressive legislation from the current “centrist” government led by former EU apparatchik Donald Tusk. Among other things Nawrocki has committed to blocking Ukraine’s accession to NATO. Is this good or bad news? Poland seems to be one of Europe’s rarer success stories in recent years and its electorate has shown a willingness on occasion to think and act independently rather than simply toeing the globalist line. Probably linked to wanting to preserve its economic progress." The same economic progress that it gained courtesy of the investment from the EU. | |||
