What components does Apple manufacture in the US?

Where are they moving that manufacturing to?

"Apple has announced that they will be removing all manufacturing from America."

As far as I know, Apple doesn't do any manufacturing in America.

They have recently said that all US iPhones will be sourced from India instead of China. Is that what you're referring to?

I suspect it is the move from China to India, which makes a lot of sense.

It might be the Macbook Pro that's being referred to. That is the only product that was manufactured in the USA. Even then it was just the final assembly of it and not the components that make it up.

Trump's tariffs are still quite new. It takes about 1 year for a large business to close or move a typical factory these days. This won't be in any reaction to the tariffs.

I bet they will not relocate their world headquarters from the USA.

All the design and software for example can be done in the us no problems… it’s the actual hardware and manufacturing that is being done overseas

If Apple in the q1 report just said that tarrifs a going to cost it roughly 900million in Q2 alone, these iPhone 17s aren’t gonna pay for themselves!!

The Left love people paying more for stuff (through taxes) when it funds and protects their cushy public sector jobs.

But when the extra cost might be protecting local private sector manufacturing jobs, they don’t care as long as they can keep their cheap phones.

Pretty sure they only assembled in the US. Everything was made in the far east i believe.

Is this just a political move in response to Trump saying he’ll attract more jobs to the US with his policies? I think Apple have always been a fairly “leftist” company

Typical neo liberal swiss school of economics mantra, export the inflationary mechanisms, ie import cheap products so the population don't need high wages, and if the population demand higher wages because of higher taxation, energy costs they introduce mass unskilled migration then demanding the migrants must be allowed to work. Under Biden millions entered the USA to keep the country running on glave Labour the UK is the same all to keep wages low.

Twaddle!

Cool… I’ll put you down specifically willing to pay the 145% tariff!!!

You talk about local private sector manufacturing jobs… which you might have a point on if you are willing to admit a dirty little secret…

That only certain manufacturing jobs are worth saving… look at your shoes and think about where those were made? Your socks? Your shirt? Your pants!

Kids… all there stuff! All there school stuff? All their toys?

The tv you watch! The computer you use!

But here is the thing … even at it’s lowest global rate… you put 10% on everything regardless

So when you get up in the morning… 10% on your tea/coffee, 10% on your sugar,

10% on any exotic fruit and veg… last time I checked pineapple isn’t grown in Plymouth, bananas aren’t being grown in Bradford, kiwis in Kingston!

And that will hit the poorest exponentially harder because they are the ones with the least dispensable income

Actually it is/was the Mac Pro (not MacBook Pro) that was made in the USA. They don’t sell many of those T £7k + each.

Any bloke who doesn't buy shoes that are made in Northamptonshire demonstrates a distinct lack of class and taste.
