Why are other “world leaders” fearful of Trump?

One purpose of the EU was to establish a trading bloc that could compete with the US and put European countries together on an even footing with the Americans in terms of economic power, prestige and influence.

In fact since 2008 the EU economy has fallen further and further behind. The only thing the EU excels at is bureaucracy, indecision, and spewing out welfare payments.

If the European project has been even vaguely successful the Europeans wouldn’t care less what Trump thinks.

He's not a strong leader. He is a bad businessman, poor communicator and doesn't not understand negotiation only coercion.

I agree with the coercion but zelensky is the one apologising. I think it's wrong but you can't negotiate from a position of weakness and unfortunately since Europe hasn't bothered with worthwhile armed forces since ww2 Ukraine has no option

Remember him saying Europe shouldn’t become too reliant on Russian fossil fuels?

Why would a Russian agent say that?

I think he wants a quick end to the Russia/Ukraine conflict & he has recognised that Ukraine will run out of fighting men before the Russians do so there is little point carrying on until all the Ukies are dead.

I think Trump is trying to be pragmatic. Putin is here to stay, there is no getting rid of him whether you like it or not.

Given this circumstance, the world is safer if the US has somewhat friendly relationships with Russia than if it had hostile relations.

It might be morally repulsive to entertain the idea of being on good terms with Putin. But for the greater good, that is ensuring we don't spiral into WW3, it might be necessary to take on in the chin.

I think the infiltration could be much deeper than that.

Starmer himself visited Communist controlled Czechoslovakia in 1986 to attend an “International Work Camp”.

Maybe he was recruited there. It could be that what we are witnessing is a pincer movement. Starmer talking up a war that he knows we can’t win to give the Russians an opportunity to attack and invade Norfolk. Before we know it the Russkis could be frogmarching their way through Bradford.

Time to restart those McCarthy hearings again. They are probably everywhere.

I don’t think we’ve seen these levels of “Reds Under The Bed” hysteria since the Cold War.

I doubt he's an agent in the conventional sense, but it's clear he has a strong affection for Russia generally, and Putin in particular. here can be no doubt that US policy is under influence from the Russians, and the prospect of huge personal business gains plays very well with Trump.

He's interested only in the sovereign state of Trump. He's likely to gravitate to Russia only because of the style of Putin but he's dangerous because of this and his personality. He's been helping Putin for a long time
