I think Starmer and Macron are like your pissed up mates in a bar gagging for a fight with someone who bumped into them accidentally outside the toilet.

And everyone else is listening patiently and “yeah I hear what you are saying Kier it’s definitely not right. Relax and enjoy your beer. You’ve got work tomorrow”.

I'm not worried at all, It's all blunderbussing. Putin is scared, Scared of war, elections and real opposition.

After 3 years the west has a great opportunity to stick putin in the gutter where he belongs, he's just a thick kgb thug.

He won't use nuclear because the fall out will blow back to Russia.

Russia want peace now because they are loosing and their tech is crap.

There is already a defence for the hypersonic missile by several countries and private organisations.

Putin is scared and hiding behind America

It was commented a few months ago that with Russian interest rates at 21.5% and inflation at +9% they are not in that good a position to fund the war as an lasing concern.

As we know, it is not easy to bring rates and inflation under control. Their main exports being oil and gas, chemicals and munitions have been severely hit, physically and through sanctions. Any peace deal would no doubt baluster Putin's home support, but as countries have found alternate oil and gas supplies - would they make return and buy Russian if peace is made

That would be a terrible tactic given that the Chinese have nothing that looks like an F-22 in their fleet

Well after the french and the UK leaders recently meeting Trump I very much doubt that they would have proceeded as they have without his blessing/reassurance.

I think it's just posturing to show a united front for the purpose of showing Russia we are not afraid.

Let's hope common sense prevails and peace can be reached sooner rather than later.

Am sure if bombing the shot out of Russia was that easy Biden would have done it by now. It's really worrying how many jingoistic people seem to be lapping up this narrative that it's only a matter of everyone getting together and taking on Russia head on.

Thinking it is going to be a walk in the park and over here life for will be undisturbed and carry on as if nothing is happening .

If its cost effective Europe will be back to Russia for gas and oil ASAP and if the minerals deal is done with trump, Russia will have a list of materials coming out the ground to sell from gold to titanium. USA companies mining with Russian workers in what was Ukraine.

Yeah can imagine... some hand rubbing happening with luck the 50% share deal Ukraine gets puts them in a decent position, even if it's 10years down the line

The exports of Russian gas has risen during sanctions and oil has dropped approx 3%.

The Russians were strategic when it came to selling it, insisting it was bought in Roubles, which India and China did and sell back to Europe...
