And Europe do seam to realise they need to take control of there own defence, and spend more. Is the UK in a position to manufacture and supply arms to Europe.

Not yet. Doesn't mean it can't be done. That said, every country in Europe will have to get its thumb out, not just the UK.

NO! The weapons comparable to - or superior to - American equipment (GMARS, EuroPULS, KRAB, Caesar, PzH200, Rafale etc.) have little or no UK input. Even its rifles have depended on H&K.

And we walked away from them!

Not sure of your point are you saying the above is American or is allready European.

If Say America decision is to stop. Supply of spare parts to the Europe what impact would that have on capability.

GMARS (Global Mobile Artillery Rocket System) is German/Lockheed, EuroPULS is French/German, KRAB is Polish and being used by the Ukraine, CAESAR (Camion Équipé d'un Système d'Artillerie) is French, also used by Ukraine, the PzH2000 (Panzerhaubitze 2000) is German, the Rafale French of Course. None of it American!

The drones bought in and manufactured by the Ukrainians are superior to Russian/Iranian drones but, as Stalin said about his tanks being of inferior quality to the German’s: “Quantity has a quality of its own”

And Ukrainian troops being trained on constant rotation by UK/AUS/NZ/PL/FIN/CZ and others. Mostly unseen.

Sorry, I thought your question was about the UK manufacturing and supplying arms to Europe? They’re manufacturing their own - some examples I’ve given - and we’re in competition with them, trying to sell weaponry to countries like Saudi Arabia and India. And some less savoury ones of course, but nobody admits to that...

No the question was about opportunity for the UK to increase manufacturing in this lucrative market and at the same time cutting out the USA.
