Will Farage's undoubted admiration of Trump make it easier, or harder, to persuade Tory voters to get on board for Reform UK?

I think it might make it harder. We'll see.

I think the trend towards Reform is being driven more by the other parties’ failures.

The country is going through “Labour is the only viable option” now which is turning out to be a shit show. By the next election it may well be “Reform is the only viable option”.

Badenoch doesn’t seem to be making any impact.

I agree... and yet it doesn't need to be that way

To give Farage a bit of credit he did say that Zelensky isn't a dictator, Badenoch looks to have waited to see what reforms stance might be before saying the same..

Maybe. That does tend to indicate a "which steaming pile do I choose this time?" doom loop. We're probably already in one.

Which would account for why so many people don't even bother to vote.

That would suggest the landslide victory of the labour party wasn't as it seemed...

Indeed not. I certainly took no part in it. FPTP - for all the problems PR has - isn't going to be sustainable much longer.

But which of the "Big Two" is going to initiate a change? And Nige won't really want a system which would water down his influence by introducing MPs from the Green Party, Stop Oil, Monster Raving Loony Party et al.

Like it or not, I reckon we're stuck with FPTP (and the Royal Family) for quite some time yet...

Foreign policy has always been a weakness/low priority for Reform and previously UKIP. It's another thing they need to address if they are serious about getting into Govt, or they will remain a protest vote putting pressure on the other parties to absorb their policies. I suspect that's where Farage is actually more comfortable.
