No doubt the growing support for Reform is driving some sensible policies at last. Do you think these raids will curb illegal migration and worker exploitation, or would you rather have a cheap car wash and a dodgy haircut ?" The policies were there already. The Tories weren't afraid enough of Reform UK to enact them. It seems Labour are. That's fair enough and it's a start; but illegal immigration, as you know, is the tip of the iceberg. As soon as Reform UK come up with detailed, workable policies for legal immigration, I'm sure Labour will adopt them. 🙂 | |||

Yes definitely a bit of good news and hopefully these people will be deported. BBC headline says illegal workers held so presumably they have control of them. What I also thought was good is that companies that employ illegals face fines of up to £60,000 per worker. There does seem to be a link between the rise of Reform and the government not only taking action but apparently showing footage of some of the raids. The slight reality check though was the revealing that in January alone over 1000 people arrived illegally. | |||

If there employees have been fined then they will claim they have been trafficked an working as moden sl@ ves so its not there fault. And need support for the treatment they have been suffering. | |||
