Robo Reeves days could be numbered, already suggestions in the media she may be ousted if the economy doesn't improve.

I personally think she should get while the going is rough, it's only get worse.

Like I said on another thread last year give em enough rope Labour will hang themselves.

I understand your thinking. It seems that this government is deaf or indifferent to any criticism, however constructive. 'Rachel from Accounts' will probably be with us until Starmer is told by his handlers to have a cabinet reshuffle.

It would be great to see Miliband consigned to the ministerial skip, too. His green agenda seems to conflict with every growth initiative that is proposed. He's also about to price landlords AND tenants out of the rental market; a unique achievement.

It’s inevitable with the economy crashing that Labour will have to raise taxes again sooner or later.

Reeves has already said that she won’t raise taxes again this Parliament. She may try and tough it out but I suspect Starmer will force her out, and say that it was never a commitment that he agreed with.

The problem is that this is Labour’s A Team and none of them have got a clue. Any replacements are likely to be even worse and just as dogmatic and incompetent.

Watched him this morning, creepy or what.

Yep like a wrecking ball in the rental market and a blowing exhaust on climate he seems to be oblivious to reality.

Someone should put a wind turbine in his back yard. Didn't one of them catch fire the other day.

You are right clueless, nothing original

about them and the level of disconnect will only increase.

The difference between Reeves and Truss is Reeves is the master of her own destiny.

You either know or you don't.

"You lot do make me laugh."

I'm pleased to hear that Labour stupidity is making somebody happy. Anyone who has the slightest clue about economics is not laughing. I don't think the BOE or OBR are lying, either. And you won't be laughing either when benefits are reduced.

Why do you think benefits being reduced will affect me ?

There's a bigger problem here in that there are so many unqualified MPs who could be given jobs should their party win an election. You end up with photocopying experts being given honorary qualifications so that they can be made Attorney General.

The deputy prime minister also in charge of housing is an example of this. Left school with no qualifications and a baby. Then promises 1.5 million new homes without a scooby on planning and procurement. She’s been told by councils they can’t deliver, and it’s been silence since.

Milibands band C Epc from 2028 on 5 million private rental homes also laughable, totally unachievable. Whats he going to do ban renting out all these homes in the face of an acute housing shortage.

You need to read things properly and get that left wing paranoia under control. I didn't say you'd be affected personally; you just inferred that. Apology accepted (this time).

"

EPC C for 2028 for new tenancies (which can include existing tenancies) that by default could mean most landlords are now on the hook for 2028 rather than 2030? Currently 51%, about two and half million PRS properties below band C

Changing the chancellor will help only if they also change course. Having the same policies being announced by a different person will not really help in my opinion. A slight problem with that though is the may have to acknowledge they were wrong, which is not something any politician of any party is good at

Working your way up from 16yr old single mum to Deputy Prime Minister is quite impressive actually and she did it through employment rather than wearing the right old school tie.

If she is now forcing things unattainable through against advice, or she is being advised badly then that is a problem. But so is your assumption that every 16 year old single mum is a write off for life.

If the UK had started in just a mediocre position, even 7 months of liz truss would struggle to f**k things up to how f**ked up things are. The suggestions you have made in this thread to suggest it's a Labour or whoever party that's caused that tell me you haven't the slightest about economics. Just echoing the rhetoric that's become acceptable to throw around without backing it up
