Much social/life changes from 1965 to 1995. Not so much from 1995 to 2025 which is same time period. Things do seem to be slowing down.

Technology always pushes forward, by solving old problems but ironically that creates new ones.

Societal issues are different from 30 years ago, but we still have issues,

which makes going back in time of no real benefit.

People appear to be more selfish.

Technology has got better but the users haven't.

Politicians seem more slimy.

Despite more choice traditional television channels output is rubbish.

The World is a lot more unstable or less predictable than before.

Nostalgia for the good old days?

In the past, if you were not happy with someone, you stood toe to toe, face to face, and said your piece.

In the last 30 years the anonymity of the internet and Social Media appears to have bred a generation of folk who are quick to insult and even quicker to take offence.

At the same time many seem to have disconnected from reality, and fallen prey to the very worst excesses of conspiracy theories and downright troll lies, as they worship in their echo chambers on Facepage, X/Twitter, TikTok etc.

So technology is better but the people using it are possibly worse.
