Before the next election, Boris Johnson will be the leader of the Tory Party again, and Nigel Farage will be his deputy.

Tories will then landslide back into power.

You heard it here first.

With the numbers of votes they got in the last election plus the inevitable voter shift away from Labour I think you may well be on to something here.

That is very debatable and while possible I think unlikely.

However, one way or another the Tories and Reform have to sort something out.

Carry on as they are and another Labour government will be a shoo in.

It will happen. Boris is slowly making a comeback now with public life, and he'll do a deal with Farage and together they'll wipe the floor with Labour at the next election.

Honestly at this point the Conservatives need to die and have another party rise. Just when you think they couldn't scrape the barrel anymore they find some slime along the insides they can push out.

Nigel will never rejoin the Tories.

In 2029 the electorate will reject the Labour Party after a disastrous five years, they will also remember the last fourteen years of Tory rule, and nobody ever seriously supports the LibDems.

Time for Reform UK. Itz coming!

The lunatics will have truly taken over the asylum if that comes to pass.

Supporting a man who was fired from his job twice for lying and would not know the truth if it bit him on the nose. With the other one who spent his entire time at the European Parliament, when he cared to turn up which wasn’t often, moaning and insulting other politicians who actually carry out their duties. He defrauded the population of the UK and the rest of the EU of money under false pretences by taking a salary for doing nothing.

Are these the qualities you really want.

You say that … But Nigel Farage was one of eight Ukip MEPs who were investigated for misuse of EU funds. Following that investigation he was docked half his monthly MEP salary after the investigation alleged he had misspent public funds intended for staffing his office.

As a MEP for over 18 years, has one of the worst attendance records at the parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg. He was ranked 748 out of 751 MEPs and has taken part in only 37% of votes.

Not exactly redeeming qualities…..

So yes, Nigel Farage is shit….

I think Reform have a lot of support from disaffected Tories, but many won't vote for them because they don't believe that Reform will get enough votes. If someone like Boris joins, those voters will change their opinion of how likely Reform are to win, and they'll switch sides.

Once a swing away from the Tories and towards Reform can be seen in the polls, I'm sure a lot of other Tories will start to switch to the party that looks most likely to win.

But Farage and the Brexit Party (now Reform) are not politically serious. All they have ever done and all they continue to do is to agitate and disrupt.

It’s all very well pandering to (some would say exploiting) prejudices and fears, but ultimately there has to be a positive plan.

They did nothing constructive in the European Party other than boycott the committees that they had access to and today they are doing nothing other than propagating fear and division across social media platforms.

Where is the actual plan, where is the positivity, where is the detail?

The Brexit Party used to be accused of offering simple politics for simple people. To be taken seriously, Reform needs to address complex, real world problems with well thought out solutions.

Reform aren't anywhere near the size of the Tory party, in terms of funding. Reform don't have candidates in many constituencies.

Aside from their fiercely any immigrant rhetoric, they don't have anything to offer.

You might not think so, but 4 million voters do. And if someone like Boris joined them, they would been seen as getting more serious.

"It’s all very well pandering to (some would say exploiting) prejudices and fears, but ultimately there has to be a positive plan."

Have you not been watching events in the US? Over there a convicted sex offender has been elected president on the basis of his assertion that he'll "make America great again". There was no plan in sight during that election? How do you think he won it?

"To be taken seriously, Reform needs to address complex, real world problems with well thought out solutions."

You mean 'to be taken seriously by people that are interested in politics'. For the average voter, who just wants things to improve, Reform is already a serious alternative. It would only become more so if 'real' politicians from the Tory party started joining it.

Farage was a commodities trader, precious metals i believe. Clever man. (His politics are not mine)

Johnson popular, especially in Ukraine, he did a lot for them.

Truss fuckwit

Starmer is out of his depth sadly, as his promises will be slowly broken. Rayner is a disaster and Reeves has been found out a lying fraud on her CV

Returning as the hero to save the party and lead them to victory again is right up Boris’s street, the temptation to take up the challenge would be too great for him

Boris was never going to spend years in opposition. Yes, he'll make his way back to Tory leadership 18months or so before the next election and yes they'll win comfortably at the next GE, something I had a bet on following the last GE, but I don't see Nigel farage involved simply because Boris won't need him to be involved
