Could we help the farmers?

From the land of haribos.

I heard an interesting thing and that is how we the people might somehow beable to take over the running of the farms economically and help the farmers, so that they dont have to rely on the government, whilst yes, one can support their local farm, but this would be on a big scale, where we all would pay towards the running of the farms, as a result we could also grow our own things there.

What is your view about it? Could this kind of idea work and would it be possible for us collectively support them economically?

The best way people can support them as well as any other local business is to buy from them. You might pay a bit more but not always and the more we buy local the more small businesses will survive.

CSA ( Community Supported Agriculture)

Customers agree to buy in season fruit and veg box at agreed rates. The farmer then knows his cashflow.

Many Estates up our way are run by "Estate managers" living and working on the farm, where the owners either live abroad or are large English Universities or some other board.

Full management is by real estate factors who meet up with and give instructions to the estate managers.

Check out "Browne Jacobson" and similar factors

If you want to help please write to your MP and demand the ill conceived death taxes of spite placed upon farmers and business owners are reversed. It will not only destroy farmers and small businesses but destroy economic growth, it’s lunacy.

I buy from farm shops regularly, but too much direct help has a danger of them losing subsidies and assistance in times of disease by dogmatic governments.

Basically if everyone helped including the government it would be ideal to preserve farming in general.

The national lottery could be of help with grants.

Utilities should help with special tarifs.

Fund raising events are a good source of financial help too.

Ripping of a farmer and his family because he died is imoral.
