"I have to say im really not surprised, the majority of people I chat with are not interested in an electric car, and then of those that are, hardly any are willing to have one as their primary car. I’m waiting as long as possible to get one to give the tech a chance to improve. But it’ll only be something small for shopping runs / small commute keeping my main car for long drives and weekend fun.." Agree, I need a strong sturdy 4x4 for offroad travel and own a Toyota Hilux invincible-x 500 miles from 1 tank of fuel driven in economy mode and the truck takes me anywhere I wish to travel. Remember EV'S batteries are terrible in winter and snow conditions plus any inside heating also drains battery life as do lights, radio, sat nav all drain battery life as does freezing weather.

"The FT reports that Nissan is warning of job cuts if the UK government continues on its current trajectory for EV mandates. Consumer demand isn’t meeting government mandated quota levels for EV’s, and the situation is going to get worse as the quotas increase next year. Nissan is warning that if the government doesn’t act quickly, jobs and economic growth will be put at risk. Other manufacturers say that the government is “tone deaf” over the issue. Another example of this Labour government putting ideology above the economic interests of the country. " Or you could say that so far behind the EV curve they are trying to cover their own asses It’s only of the strange things where Japanese manufacturers go it right regarding hybrids… but got it wrong banking on hydrogen rather than EV

GM are cutting another 1,000 jobs on top of the 5,000 they lost last year.

"I use lease cars as my main vehicle and got schmoozed into trying a Tesla. Biggest heap of shit I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing and completely ruined what should have been a great golfing weekend. I suppose they'd be ok if you live in a city and only use them as a glorified shopping trolley, but apart from that, I would never own one, or lease one, ever again." "We have a 2011 hybrid once we are replace it we'll probably go back to petrol or a diesel. However I see the government are raising car tax to the point it's making it impossible for normal people to own car's and forcing people to get an EV." See… that’s interesting… I have a 2010 hybrid at the moment… and actually looking at going the other way…. The decision for me is do I get a brand new one … as others have said the price on them is coming down now they are bringing out smaller EV’s with range (for example the one I am seriously looking at moment is a Kia EV3 which for a small one gets 350-375 miles of range real world, and you can charge it from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes) or do I get a 2nd hand ex business fleet tesla model y type vehicle…
