"Fares will go up I take it." If they keep selling out to unions all the time, the "temporary tax increase" they suggested won't be temporary anymore. By the next budget, they will run out of all the money and ask for even more taxes

"4 days but how meny hours per day I do a 4 day roling week 12 hours working each day then get 4 days off quite normal" I can see MP and management positions getting a 4 day week. Not the workers.

"My guess is that virtually everyone in the public sector will be working a four day week by the end of this Parliament, with no cut to pay. Public sector productivity hasn’t improved at all over the last 25 years. Expect it to nosedive further over the next five years." Ive worked in several Labour controlled local authorities. All are top heavy with managers on ridiculous salaries doing absolutely nothing to justify their wages. Many heads of LA are on higher wages than the UK PM. Which is why so many have gone bankrupt. In other words it’s a racket.

Given all the new technology over that period which should have improved productivity without any other changes, actual levels of public service productivity have almost certainly fallen sharply during that period.
