Seems in Germany if you don't agree with the horrific killings of innocent civilians journalists/media aid workers and you criticise the Israeli government your now classed as antisemitic! Is still another step towards lessening freedom of speech?

So much antisemitism across Europe.

Just look at the horrific attacks in the Netherlands.

Difficult to know what can be done about it.

yes there seems to be 2 sides on the reporting of this some say Israeli fans was pulling down Palestinian flags from buildings the night before. And openly looking for trouble it almost feels like western politics are scared to say or criticise anything to do with the Israeli government for fear of being called antisemitic.

The Maccabee Tel Aviv fans attacked Asian taxi driver as well damaging other cabs the previous night. As is always the case with football hooliganism there are dick heads on all sides.

That's exactly what they do. Those of the Man Utd faith attack those of the Man City faith, purely based on the idea that one belief is better than the other.

Exactly. These Israeli “hooligans” chanted songs swearing at Arabs, saying, “There are no schools in Gaza because there are no children left and climb the walls of homes to tear down Palestinian flags.

Ajax will get a home supporter ban from UEFA for breaking the rules on making political statements (the free Palestine Tifo)

And macabi will get a taking support away ban for the havoc there fan caused …

The rest (Israel sending emergency planes to take citizens out) is all for show since the Nederlands support the ICJ judgements…

From what I seen, they clashed with protestors.

I would say that is different to the 'days of football hooliganism' in the football hooligans/casuals actively sought to clash with each other.

It doesn't exist too much anymore but I'd disagree. Most 'football hooliganism' that was reported back in the day was organised. They didn't attack random people.

Because you don’t tend to in football stadiums because sending police in to arrest singled out people…..

I have seen the pictures of the Israeli fans whistling and singing during the minute of silence for the Spanish flooding victims (Spain is one of the 3 western countries alongside Norway and Ireland that decided to recognise Palestine)

There does seem to be more to this than is being headlined. But guess who controls the media, and benefits from most from the publicity. Those 'rescue' flight came a little to easily for my liking.

The Israeli's believe that if you do not support them 100% then you must be anti-semitic. Until they recognize themselves that some actions are difficult to justify they will be trapped in the victim mentality. There is a need to see the other side of the argument and to try to have some empathy. Unless both sides learn some humanity the vicious cycle of hate will never end.

Maccabi Tel Aviv fans arrived in Amsterdam yesterday for their Europa League match against Ajax, where they lost 5-0. Before and after the match, Israeli fans were filmed chanting “death to Arabs” and “there are no schools in Gaza because there are no children left”. They were also filmed ripping down Palestine flags from shops and buildings. They were then confronted by Ajax fans and locals who reminded them that Amsterdam wasn’t Gaza or the West Bank.

Now Israeli officials and Zionists are claiming there’s a "pogrom" on the streets of Amsterdam. Typical and textbook Israeli gaslighting - context is everything.

Border of London

It does look as if a bunch of Maccabi fans travelled from Israel to the Netherlands and behaved in a racist and hooligan manner. They were rude, incentive and wholly inappropriate. Those for whom they showed disrespect, as well as other football fans, locals and others from the Muslim/Arab community, then decided to target all Maccabi fans, Israelis and Jews in the area. Whether because of the previous hooliganism of independently.

What's interesting is that the main violence was not perpetrated by football fans, but rather by a specific community group. This would be like the EDL organising against, say a Polish football team (and any other Poles unlucky enough to be standing around). This spills out of the realm of football hooliganism and highlights a social issue. Where you have self-organising violent groups then, whatever the provocation (mostly, as people on here put it, hurty words), you need to ask some difficult questions.

The first question is evident from comments on here - people seem to accept that if you insult a group of Arabs, then "duh, they go jihadi on you arse" (and that of your entire ethnic clan). The fact that people accept this suggests that people have low expectations from Muslims and Arabs. This is problematic. Other questions include those linked to immigration and integration in a country already split on this issue, where Geert Wilders is currently getting a major poll boost.

There seems to be no question that Israeli fans of Maccabi behaved very badly, crossing into hooliganism. But the quite possibly linked violence is a frightening (scale, savagery and organisation) escalation.

More independent videos emerging on social media platforms showing more attacks from maccabi fans. Just watched GB news at 17.20 where the presenter done nothing but try her best to talk over the guy who was saying that there's nothing but one sided reporting of this. She even questioned if the true numbers of children and women slaughtered in Gaza was true!
