I honestly can't recall why the Scots decided to vote for SNP unless they were pissed up after watching Braveheart but the Scottish switch from Labour is why the whole of the UK has been decimated by a Tory parliament for years. The first past the post system is well past its sell by date .The devolved parliaments have proved useless in protecting the regions from Whitehall bullying while giving even more useless clowns huge salaries to promote silly pet projects like 20mph speed limits and giving the vote to trans 7 year olds or whatever or in the case of NI just not bothering to turn up at all.. This country's governing systems need a complete overhaul.

can't work this one out. If SNP seats turnes red the Tories would still have a majority. And there is only 17 other non labour seats.

And the popular vote isn't a million miles from the seat split in Scotland. With Labour benefiting.

Don't insult the Scottish please we have not voted Tory for 70 years but still they have control over so much. Scotland's voting system is not first past the post. And FFS Braveheart ? Do you think we have heather growing out our ears?

Any Scottish voter who does not recognise their best interests now lie in Scotland having a Labour run devolved government, after the next election, has no grasp on reality.

Labour will win power in the UK so, if Labour are in power in Holyrood as well, then the UK Labour government will do all they can to reward the Scots for doing the right thing and ousting the SNP.

If the SNP are re-elected, not only will they not get their precious independence but there will be little support for Scotland from Westminister who would view the Scots as a lost cause.

After 17 years in power the SNP have proved beyond a shadow of a doubt they are not fit to govern. Their modus operandi still reeks of an opposition party spending their time moaning about what Westminister does and coming up with popularist ideas to try and "buy" votes. They are so incompetent, it would appear, they cannot even steal their own money let alone commission ship rebuilds. It is time for change.

Who said that? The SNP? To quote Mandy Rice-Davies, "They would say that, wouldnt they?"

After 17 years without a Scottish foothold, the Labour party will be VERY keen to show the benefits of their being in power.

How are we being “rewarded” by the snp? With higher income tax and a stagnant parliament that only bangs on about 1 thing on repeat that more than half the country already voted against?

Agreed, and least we forget, wastes millions on a ship fiasco, embarrasses us with ridiculous ill conceived transgender legislation and blames every failure on Westminister even when the area in crisis is wholy devolved to them.

I wouldn’t say i affiliate myself with any party. But i would say that if labour get elected in westminister they seem a sensible choice for scotland because if nothing else the ability to just point finger at Westminster and the ground hog day of will we go for another independence referendum are both off the table for a while. And surely that provides the perfect opportunity for some progress
