"Government's don't grow economies, businesses do. Yes, the government can be business friendly but in the end it is people with entrepreneurial skills and hard work that make the difference. But where are they? I have no idea." Governments make changes with taxes, grants etc. to help businesses which in turn grow the economy. If the government fails to do so then the economy cannot grow. | |||

"100% yes But any government should be held to account for so called pledges/promises. Especially those in major office, Treasury, Home Office, Health, Education etc Independent verification; and then at least you can say yes they did a good job or not. It's too easy to fudge and there is never any real accountability." Not possible to effectively grow the economy without upping the spend on education to give us a more educated and skilled future workforce, and upping the spend on healthcare so that we don’t have millions of unproductive working days from people struggling with sickness and illnesses. It might also help if transport was also improved to enhance mobility. Instead this Government has cut funding to all of these essential departments. | |||
