Seen this in the news this morning, feel sorry for the woman with her injuries...

But why the fuck would you take a dog in a field when the cows have calves with them? Surely common sense says avoid ??

yep common sense would say avoid,unfortunatley lots of people see animals as docile creatures, if you want a good laugh watch some vids on youtube of people thinking its a good idea trying to take a selfie with a bison,the look of shock on there face when a two ton animal tells em to fuck right of is hysterical

Common sense is definitely dead, but the devil's in the detail.

It was a public footpath and the dog was on a lead.

The cows may not have been obvious to the walkers.

I wonder how you would miss a tonne of beef wondering around, though I suspect they did see the cows BUT thought I'm on a public path and I know my rights etc

If you're on a public footpath you can reasonably expect to have safe passage.

It's not a matter of "knowing your rights"

So buy the same thought if your on a foot path in a town do you watch out for other people and other's using the path scoters etc or are you safe as it's a foot path?
