in the sticks

Ex Pakistan leader imran Khan in jail on various charges, elections soon and turning into a potential civil war.

Talking to a few Pakistani friends, they believe it's all political due to the Khan's trading with the Russia for gas and oil. Mistrust of the west is growing...

Best keep an eye out on this one

I still remember, a few years back, I took an uber driven by a Pakistani driver. He was telling me how cool Imran Khan was and how India should reach friendly agreements with Pakistan and solve the Kashmir isses when Imran is the leader because he is a cool guy and very trustable. I just laughed it off.

Now Imran is in jail

Pakistan is on the way to becoming a failed state which is absolutely terrifying.

These are trumped up charges for sure. My point is that Pakistan is an unstable country. Imran Khan being good or bad doesn't matter. He was never going to last long.

The army is firmly in charge behind the scenes, specifically the ISI intelligence service.

Like Turkey and Israel - with allies like that, who needs enemies?
