Thank goodness the US didn’t elect that crazy Orange Man Trump. In no time at all there would have been war in Europe and the US would have been bombing the Middle East.

What a relief that the adults are back in charge.

I see it as;

Stop messing about or we will bomb your people whilst we protect Israel and let them carry out their revenge genocide.

We will not tolerate any attacks to make us call a ceasefire, or will weapons shareholders tolerate any interference in the rise of their stock on the Stockmarket.

I think you might have missed out the attack on a US base that killed 3 US soldiers, as the reason for the strikes.

But your story was cool

So an eye for an eye - The US have responded. No need for further escalation.

No you are wrong, they state stop the genocide in Israel and they will stop the attacks on shipping, the US and others including the UK attacked them so they retaliate by continuing to do as they said.

All they need to do is call a ceasefire simples.

good story genocide is a good story now, see how easy it is to become desensitised to these mass killings.

especially when one thinks three are the right thing to do.

The US air strikes in this instance were a direct response to their soldiers being killed in Jordan by a drone.

The attacks on the Houthis is a direct response to them targeting civilian shipping in the Red Sea.

The US has also put pressure on Israel for several weeks, eventually that pressure will pay off is the hope I guess.

In the meantime Iran sits back and watches the shit show they started and are orchestrating with a sense of accomplishment, I would have thought. But you keep blaming the US

God forbid trump gets back in. Why would anyone want a leader of the biggest superpower (right or wrong) that never actually bombed anyone, was actually the only head of state to successfully engage in talks with North Korea, actually crossing the boarder from south to north. Someone that actually had sensible talks and a mutual understanding with Russia! God forbid that should happen again. Could you imagine the fallout?

"Er you can't bomb a religion"

His point is that terrorism works, or should work. That if you piss off Muslims, they get terroristy and start killing innocents indiscriminately in Western countries, because they're inherently evil (or possible justified) actors. Therefore, we should be careful not to piss them off.

It's a kind of racist/cowardly position if you think about it, but it makes a sort of sense. A bit like how violence in the Middle East is of only minor concern unless it's a non-Muslim doing it. Or how Hamas is justified in what they do (whilst playing lip service to how terrible the terroristy bits are... "But").

“Don’t piss then off” is how terrorism works

Are you willing to bow down to any of their commands in case they attack?

Yes the US are complicated in all of this, Israel is let off the leash and the US cannot seem to get them to sit so they can't the leash back on.

As soon as all this show started US bases have been attacked (they had attacked US bases before, but it is in the name of a ceasefire now, instead of get out).

Our economy is not based on a flammable liquid, so we don't need to bully other countries into our way of thinking, we do so for our US buddies inmost part and for the gas for the rest.

No corruption has been proven and the SA verdict came from a civil court where they basically said 'he probably did do it' (that's the standard for civil court.

You may not be able to destroy an ideology with weapons, you also cannot *educate* those who wish not be educated (I seem to be saying this a lot lately)

Name another POTUS who has been caught out and there are a few who has gone to court yet alone prison, and who hasn't been pardoned by the next incoming POTUS?

And then prevented running for office anyone?

My musing and questions refer not to how trump is seen but rather the office of the POTUS and how presidents have been treated even after getting caught out doing things they shouldn't.

And then why is trump being treated in such a way.

because it doesnt matter what a president did in office they have always been pardoned, always.

I know what you are saying and I do not disagree my own question to myself which I put out here is why is he being treated differently.

another POTUS, sold arms to Noriega

sex with a staff member

tried to change an election result by devious funding means and bugging the opposition. (he had to resign and was pardoned the very next day).

Trump tries different things and he is all bad, his support goes up he is in court, support goes up he cannot run in certain states, key states.

support goes up he is a rap1st

it goes on

to me something is not right.

There is a candidate that ran for president from his jail cell, so yes trump can still run, hence him being banned from running in a certain key state.
