It appears that Sturgeon and other SNP leaders have deleted their WhatsApp messages relating to COVID.

Scottish Conservative leader, Douglas Ross, said Sturgeon and Swinney “have huge questions to answer over their conduct in the wake of this devastating revelation”.

Yip your correct! The heather grows out our ears up here, but the tiny wee brain cells we have makes us reject the Tories constantly for over 70 years.

Amazing to think Scotland is thick as fuck but basically we developed the modern world eh? How would you feel if snp were in charge of the UK but England Wales Ireland constantly rejected them for 70 years? Equal union my arse! Westminster and the whole establishment are a bunch of crooks and the most corrupt government ever..Why would Westminster do everything in their power to stop Scotland being independent when according to many sources 'England' subsidised Scotland? Love ? ....and don't even mention Gers or Barnet formula .

Has Westminster stopped Scotland becoming independent? I thought Scotland has an independence vote and bottled it, as I fully expected it to. I mean many of us in England wish Scotland would become independent so we didn’t have to listen to all the whining and could laugh at the resulting mess.

The Scots seem to like to rant a lot about independence and how much they hate England, but then don’t have the balls to do anything about it. It really is the worst scenario for everyone.

As for the SNP what a joke. I think the SNP must secretly hate Scotland the total mess they have made. And getting into bed with the Greens has been the final nail in the coffin for the SNP and Scottish independence. It’s a salutary lesson for everyone to keep Green loons as far away from government as possible: as you say the Scottish “enlightenment” still has much to offer.

I am Scottish, live in England. I have heard plenty of family members say nasty things about England.

Why are you saying 'concerning independence vote'? Scotland had one 10 years ago. If there's enough desire, there may be another but I doubt there is. The SNP will not be as powerful as they have been after the next election.

Regular polling until there’s a solid level of consistent support in favour of a change to the status quo.

Have often would you like to vote?if the ppl wanted to vote then so be it,or are you saying ppl cant change their minds?

How do you know the people want to vote now?

And how often do you ask them to find out how often we should have these votes?

Regular polling until there’s a solid level of consistent support in favour of a change to the status quo.

Fair but it needs the right question asking doesn't it.

Do you want to have another Brexit/Indy referendum would suffice.

Not, do you think Brexit/Staying in the union has been successful.

"Yip your correct!

Its a pity the tories and labour dont feel the same as you concerning an independence vote, ive never heard any scots say they hate england can you show evidence of this?i think a lot of scots would disagree with you on the so called mess you mention ,funny how they keep being voted for if they have made such a mess

Im scottish and only ever heard bad things said about westminister, so what nasty things have you heard family say about england?so because we had a referendum 10 yrs ago then we cant have another ? both the tories and labour have said now is not the time

I'm not gonna provide anecdotal evidence about what family members have said, because it's the same as your anecdotal evidence.

I didn't say there shouldn't be another, I said if the appetite is there, there may be another. How often do you want one? Does it end when you get independence?aye ok lol,as i said ppl can change their mind but the 2 main parties have said now is not the time

Are you happy to have another vote should you gain independence?

Seeing as people are allowed to change their minds.

Have often would you like to vote?if the ppl wanted to vote then so be it,or are you saying ppl cant change their minds?

I think, seriously now, without making mirth - you’d have to see 24-36 months of consistent 55-60% in favour of changing the status quo.

Support for independence has been over 50% consistently in recent polls, yet duplicitous unionist politicians claim (as always) "now is not the time". It never is with these democracy-denying cunts.

RUK balance sheets will be a disaster without the contribution made by Scotland's food and drinks sector. Never mind North Sea oil revenues propping up the UK economy for 5 decades - and now they have their greedy, thieving eyes fixed on looting our renewable energy.

RUK will be severely diminished without Scotland - English prestige, already hollowed out by brexit consequences and disastrous economic forecasts, will be holed below the waterline. Unthinkable to the London establishment. They will not only become a smaller player on the world stage (quelle horreur!), the colonialist bastards will also have to host their nuclear WMD first-strike target in their own country.

If England actually subsidised Scotland, why would they be so desperate to hold on to us against our will, against democratic principles and in against UN principles on human rights and self-determination.

For those harking back to 2014, don't bother bringing up the "once in a generation" Bellshill. That was never a commitment, nor was it in the indy prospectus. Why would it be? Think about it, unionists.

Then we come to the legitimacy of the referendum. Not only was it swung by Brown's notorious and electorally illegal, purdah-breaking vow, ALL major unionist promises were broken.

Some union, some democracy.

How was Browns promise illegal?.What major unionist promise was broken?.

Yes the rest of the UK would be in a bad state without us and that is exactly why we will stay.I don’t care who subsidises who we are one people one country.

As if Scotland has any prestige whatsoever now despite the fact it’s not England.

Please grant proof we are being kept in against our will rather than separatists trying to rip apart my country against my will

Which polls are these that demonstrate support for Scottish independence? Have you been asking a few mates down the pub?

Polls have shown a majority for remaining in the UK consistently for a very long time.

If Scotland had another independence referendum, it would just bottle it again by an even bigger majority than last time.

It’s all bluster. The SNP needs to stop focusing on its dead independence dream and what’s going on in Gaza, and focus on improving healthcare, education, it’s failing economy, and Scotlands dismal drug and alcohol problem (which might be what fuels all of this hubris).

Sorry to say this but I would rather the SNP did not focus on any of those things. We would be a lot better of with a government that did as little as possible and that his where Ross also fails.

We were the strongest part of the UK until Blair decided we could be better. We became exactly what he and Brown intended us to be merely the colour of our seats is not red but yellow
