"Closing the last blast furnaces in the UK leave us unable to make new steel. The electric furnaces only allow the recycling of scrap, producing a lower quality product. In these uncertain times this is madness, and shows a complete lack of strategic thinking by the government." Net zero is the thinking of the madness.

Just shipping emissions elsewhere to countries who don't have such brainwashed and stupid politicians. Doesn't reduce global emissions, cuts UK jobs and leaves us vulnerable to the whims of other countries in times of need.

"I actually feel sorry for Tata. They got moaned at for suggesting that they refurbish the blast furnaces and keep polluting, then they got moaned at for suggesting that they would stop polluting by closing the plant, and now they're being moaned at for keeping the plant open and going green. You just can't please some people." Steel making is a strategic industry. Should not be owned privately, particularly by foreign companies.

And now someone's moaning that all the good things should continue to be done, but just not by them. They really can't win.
