53,000 excess deaths in 2023

The Telegraph is reporting that 53,000 more people died in 2023 than would normally be expected. Those aged 50 to 64 are particularly badly affected.

This is a post war record outside of the pandemic.

But Our NHS is the best in the world.

Similar countries do not seem to be experiencing the same increase.

So what is causing it?

We were berated with excess death figures on a daily basis during the pandemic. So why so little political and media noise about it now?

It would be interesting to understand the impact of NHS strikes on these figures.

A demand for a 35% pay rise for junior doctors is in my opinion extreme and even more extreme is the amount of time they have lost being on strike.

When this batch of junior doctors began their career path, they knew the salary and their potential future earnings.

The BMA could have a lot to answer for...

Med school screening also has a lot to answer for when so many doctors leave the profession or can only work part-time. No other industry could live with that attrition rate.

Many people, during their teen years, have their heart set on medicine. They don't necessarily perform any due diligence when applying. It's not until they begin earning that they realise what the first few years will cost them.

It's funny, we were discussing this issue with a doctor a couple of days ago

Well there are some who will say we are starting to see the longer term affects of either Covid and/or the Covid Vaccines. ie it was all planned to reduce the population.

I believe (don’t remember where I read it) that certain types of rapid cancers are on the increase. Some are connecting the dots. Apparently Pfizer recently invested $billions in a company specialising in this area.

Do we have comparable excess death figures for other countries to see if there is a pattern?

P.S. JUST TO BE CLEAR...this is not my theory. I am being mischievous!

In my experience a lot of pressure comes from parents to get their kids into med school, then when the reality hits the hapless kid realises he/she made a poor choice.

I have no information on this. I think it’s more likely to be as a result of the excessive focus of the NHS on Covid, and the effective closure of all other services during the pandemic, to a far greater extent than other countries did.

Followed by the collapse of the NHS post Covid (and caused in part by the way the NHS responded to Covid).

We also live in a country where healthcare is ideological and the population has been brainwashed over many decades about the standing of “Our NHS” in society. If people are told to “save the NHS” they are in the UK far more likely to respond to that messaging by not seeking treatment for other ailments.

As for linkages to Covid vaccines, who knows? These were promoted heavily by governments, in many cases unnecessarily and with short development timescales. It seems unlikely that any government is likely to admit to failings. This may explain of course why the media and politicians are so unwilling to even discuss or explore the issue of vaccine harms.

Apparently the thing that needs looking into is/are called Turbo Cancers. No idea myself but likely to be dismissed as tinfoil time I guess?

Having looked at the telegraph XS graph, we can see that the for the last 12 years have seen positive XS deaths. That's impressive given it's based on the five years before average.

2019 was only just above average so (in the round) a light year. Subsequent years will be (in the round) toppy as this one outlier will drag down the 5 year average.

If anything I'm not seeing anything strongly COVID related but more CON related.... especially as before then X's deaths were negative !

(In the interest of balance, that's was also the case in the Thatcher years on the whole. Also, these things are much more complex and can have a lag time. So I'm not really blaming Tories based on one graph. Just that anyone who is using such a broad measure to cast blame shoulf be drawing the above conclusions before anything vaccine related. Or even bemoaning the NHS today)
