"The X algorithms have nothing to do with search. They focus on what you interact with, including (and most notably) whether you expand posts or click through. " A lot of the numpties like Ross in Cheshire stopped posting because he took over and was a fre speech advocate. Not an algorithm problem just left of centre interactions rapidly declined. They also deleted a lot of the bot accounts that previously would have ensure that others would jabe promoted something left wing by seeing 5k like when maybe 4500 weren't real people. Also he's let a fair few right of centre people back on the platform and thus given that voice back and the right of centre interactions have increased.

" I absolutely do not interact with racists and immigrant bashers and neither do I interact with pro-Israeli (or pro-Palestinian) causes. I have no idea why I am seeing this shit. I wish I could do something to redress the balance.

I don’t use it that much but am away at the moment and heard about all this Michelle Mone fiasco. I thought Twitter might be full of the story , but no. The feed was all about asylum seekers beating people up in Ireland and Italy, Muslims marching in their thousands across Europe and Palestinians hassling everyone all over the world. I follow things and people like -LBC, BBC News, and other very benign organisations. Nothing whatsoever linked to the content that I am seeing.

It could be time to choose another platform, as said above the X has become a platform for left to right and far of both. You will start seeing it from all sides not just a liberal left view, which is what I believe was happening prior to Musk taking over.

Lovely, your flight leaves at 06:30am sharp tomorrow morning. No inflight services, so you might want to bring a flask.

"You know all these stupid opinions? They spread more as they get more clicks and shares. Actual facts and reporting is perceived as boring but sensationalised over the top crap gets clicks and shares. The more clicks and shares a something gets the more algorithms will show it to other folk. Also your cellphones does listen to keywords you say. Hubby started getting advertising for cactus care because he said something like 'a pet cactus would make a good secret Santa' when we went to B+M. He also muttered to himself recently about his own awful parking and sure enough Facebook started showing him a group about awful car parking." And if ever there is a clearer signal that we all should just leave social media, then this is it! Social Media doesn't care one fig about you as a person, it's really not there to assist you at any time of your life - it just wants to serve you ads' and profile you as a potential purchaser of goods and services. It's ONLY about making money for the owners and shareholders. Every single time you click anything (anything), well that's just another data point on your already road length profile. People ask me 'Why aren't you on Social Media' my answer is always 'Why are you?' I have always shopped on amazon - and I just love to screw my search profile by clicking searches for things like pompoms and delta fever tablets - the search recommendations I get think I'm a cheerleader for Médecins Sans Frontières.

Probably because I dedicate it to sport. Who would've known?
