Apparently Putin says he is going to stand for re-election and Russia is saying that 98 per cent of the population will be backing him.

No doubt the other 2 per cent will never be heard of again.

Nah. He needs the 2% to look realistic. It's not China...

At least Russia is going to have an election, unlike our Ukrainian friends.

Still the war is going so well for Zelensky that his victory is guaranteed.

Interested to see who will run against him.. Possible candidates: Alexei Navalny, Yevgeny Prigozhin and..... oh, must have left the window open.

Not to worry, Russia is in safe hands.

As long as the opponents have good funeral plans, I cannot see what could go wrong.

The courage of his convictions is something you or I will probably never know.

Surely you can admire such convictions, his belief in what is right and wrong, while facing such adversity?

Interesting point of view, not admiring a person who has the courage to stand up to one of the world’s most ruthless leaders.

Each to their own.

why would i admire someone who went back to a country thats trying to kill him, most people would stay as far away as possible, out of russia his voice would be able to be heard, in russia no one knows where he is let alone being able to hear what he has to say

His stand and his actions are the reason you know about him and his fight. If he was campaigning from another country he would more than likely be dead and would not have nearly as much reach in his activism
