"What's the complaint? The only job in the cabinet you'd really need the background experience in is the Attorney General. I dont really remember too many secs if state for defense being in the army. " The majority of Tory Defence Secretarys going back to 1964 have served in the Military

"And those before Younger back to 64. We’re ignoring those because?" Why back to '64? Younger was 30 years ago.

"And those before Younger back to 64. We’re ignoring those because?" Are you just going to change the parameters every time you're wrong?

"And those before Younger back to 64. We’re ignoring those because? Why back to '64? Younger was 30 years ago. Presumably because the last national serviceman left in 63?" I get that. But what happened 60 years ago isn't really relevant today. Also, correction: Younger was 40 years ago.

"Seems to me nobody can make a clear point in here about the problem with him being in this position. Case closed?" . ;,, I suppose Shapps / Green could be classed as the best option in a remarkably bad bunch , , we were probably only a resignation letter away from Mad Nads getting the gig

"Seems to me nobody can make a clear point in here about the problem with him being in this position. Case closed?" He's a poor MP and former con man perhaps? I mean I know there's not many good options but Shapps would literally go on TV humiliate himself as soon as Boris asked him back in the day and then the government would u turn a day later. Not the kind of guy you want, unless you just wanted blind faith as an attribute.

"And those before Younger back to 64. We’re ignoring those because?" Pre-1964 they were of the right age to be conscripted in world war 2? It was not a career really. Top military staff often prefer a minister who listens because they are not carrying their own military experience bias. Least we forget our old buddy, Gefreiter Hitler, messed up Germany's attempt at world domination by telling his generals how to do it.
