I'm not sure how Fox can try to weaponise this though. Because they likely wanna pretend they're not bigoted, so they can't openly just attack gay people. So I wonder what line Fox will take

They won't actively attack gay people. They will wait for someone else to make the homophobic rhetoric, then rail against those who stand up to the homophobes "woke", "cancel culture" etc. Same tactic the right wing press use here.
