"They could indeed. Protests of this nature will only get more common, as the impasse over asylum seekers in hotels drags on. I have 4 hotels within 10 miles of me that are now shut, having been requisitioned for asylum seekers. Staff have been made redundant, and as these hotels hosted wedding receptions and conferences, the other venues have ramped their prices up considerably to take advantage of demand. Short term was acceptable but this is dragging on for years now. were they requistikned against the hotel owners will? Or have the hotel owners decided to cash in on a good offer? I wonder how many also own other venues. " I don't think any have been requisitioned against will. The problem we have is Clearsprings are offering 'too good to turn down' money to these hotels.

"Even good hotels run at about 75% occupancy. With changing beds aboy 3 times a week. Then you get offered a flat rate for one year at a guess at 5% extra. And you need less staff as beds are all done once a week. It's safer money and more profitable but it will finish of UK holidays for good as attractions will close events will stop etc. But where do you house these people." let em live under tarpaulin like they were in calais

I don't know of anyone not doing a uk holiday because of hotels nky being unavailable. Cheap flights to sun and air bnb are killing seaside hotels more than housing asylum seekers.

" You’ve missed out business travellers who make up a good percentage of weekday hotel guests… I travel a lot and a few hotels I used regularly are now housing asylum seekers. I found it verse strange that one hotel that was rather popular on the corporate circuit became a shell of a hotel overnight, the offer must have been to good to miss

"Salisbury planes give are army something to do at same time why not." I think I know what you’re saying here, but the spelling was so appalling that I’d appreciate you confirming it before I respond further.
