Will Trump put himself in jail?

This is basically following on from the previous thread asking if Trump will end up in jail.

Trump keeps making attacking/threatening posts on social media. Will this behaviour ever be punished?

If he does go to jail, I don't think it will be because of this bizarre nonsense he posts on his weird alt right conspiracy theory social media platform.

He seems to be going after his judge now though. It doesn't get much dumber than that.

Trump's already been warned formally by a judge not to do/say certain things. If he is judged to have broken that, he might get punished. Hopefully.

Lock him up I say, keep shooting that big mouth off you big pile of diarrhoea, hope he ends up in a prison cell sandwiched between his anaemic son in law and crappy juiliani - I pray to the gods of justice and karma, please gods, let it be so

Having said that, I think I’d equally enjoy watching him squirm around for the next few years having nightmares about FBI raids

And on a final note, god that Special Counsel Jack Smith is fit as …

Mr trump does have free speech under the first amendment, just like the democrats who did not accept his presidency for 4 years, not my president was the chant.

"Mr trump does have free speech under the first amendment, just like the democrats who did not accept his presidency for 4 years, not my president was the chant."

The problem is that Trump's lies were instrumental in his deluded supporters storming the capitol. Trump weaponised lies about the election being rigged and sto len over and over again, whipping his supporters up into a frenzy.

Hillary Clinton, by contrast, conceded defeat after the election + clearly stated that Trump had won. Can you see the difference?

PS I don't even like Hillary. But the difference between her and Trump in this area is night and day.

Mrs Clinton was gracious in defeat. even though she funded and pushed the Steele dossier so that the democract voters had something to suck up for most of Mr trumps presidency.

If he keeps it vague enough… he is going to claim first amendment freedom of speech….

For example… the “I’m going to come after anyone who comes after me” tweet he will claim it’s political rather than a threat…… but if anyone else acts on his tweets and use it as a motivation he will be in a whole world of trouble!

He will keep pushing as I believe he will try and use any gag order like he is a political martyr

Because 1st amendment rights don’t cover what can be perceived to be an illegal activity

For example, Tony soprano can’t say to one of his henchmen “I wish someone would whack someone “ and that person goes and does it!

Just because Tony didn’t commit the actual act it his speech doesn’t protect him

Interesting tactic by the prosecution… they have said to the judge they would like the trial to start January 2 2024… let’s see what the trump side counter

Judge will decide next week….

We may get this one done before the election

As others have said, the first amendment preserves your right to say it but does not protect you from the consequences of what you say. Ask Fox after their little $787 million payout.

It’s really quite simple.

Fox got sued in a civil case and Trump is being prosecuted in a criminal case.

If Trump - the man of four indictments, wins the presidential nomination - what does that reveal about the Republican Party?

I watched the Jan 6th documentary this past weekend. Just hours after they’d been barricading themselves in offices, crying on the phone to loved ones, fearing for their lives - (Some) republicans voting to appeal the electoral results that caused the riots to occur in the first place. It beggars belief.

What does it say about the Republican Party? Oh that’s simple… trump’s Republican Party is a cult of crazy! They flushed out most of the moderates a while back!!

Let’s not beat about the bush.. it was an attempt coup in all but name!

When they lose 60 odd legal challenges in courts up and down the country between the election day and January 5th… it’s not about more legal challenges, it’s about desperation!

It would have to be an election defeat so bad it jolts them into changing course (not happening) or a leader strong enough to stand up to trump’s acolytes (not happening when they have a house majority of 6)

The trump wing has a hold of the party!

Think of it like the ERG basically making life unbearable for Teresa May… or those wanting Johnson to run again in the last leadership race

Still here . The more everyone whines the more it adds to his base. Go look at the polls. Shocking it don't matter what politician we endorse to the other side. You will find some fault. So why not take the most decisive one just to piss you off ? That would be epic. Win or lose we are still here

If Biden is ever found in court to have broken the law on something that's a jailable offence, yes he should be jailed. The same applies to Trump.

do you want the law to apply to everyone or not?"

Do you want the people's choice or not ?

"Trying to drag this back on topic. If Trump's found guilty of a jailable crime, do you think he should be jailed? no . Should Biden ? I sure Fabio will try and deflect. It's in his nature. So you tell me why half of the population agrees with Trump? Your little insignificant thoughts mean what again ? I see it everyday. Nothing as usual. Painful as it may seem I can't sway you you can't sway me.

If Biden is ever found in court to have broken the law on something that's a jailable offence, yes he should be jailed. The same applies to Trump.

do you see how this works? do you understand at all? Yup us fascist rascist Nazis understand. Paint your picture. Yet you still don't understand. I do I live it everyday.

Thank you. I think that's the 1st time I've seen you say the law should apply to Trump.

It would be soooo ridiculous if he ended up in jail + voted in as president too. Too ridiculous to happen, I'm sure. Then again, many things have felt ridiculous for years.

Why would I lose my mind if America voted for Trump after everything he did? It'd be their mistake to make.

Trump's activities also feel like a warning to the world, so they're worth paying attention to.

"So let me ask . Over the weekend at a community fair . I seen black white and Hispanic people wearing Trump 2024 shirts with the American flag on it. Yet if you vote Trump you are a racist. Explain that? Someone take this Mantle. Preach.

Where did I say Trump voters were racist? Why are you putting words in my mouth? it's common knowledge. So what is your Disdain for the man again? You seem to be so informative on the subject. Just like others. Yet you do not have the actual name evidence accept what the media feeds you. Same as Fabio he is out of the loop. Can't tell me any different. You see Fabio is from a big city with all the horrors that come with it. Us rural folk well we respect people just as long as they respect us. We don't need racial biased opinions or sexual ones. I see it everyday. Yet we are the evil ones. Here is a hint Fuck off if you do not understand. I love my community. we are diverse and understanding. "

Ironically Fabio lived in the same borough of New York that trump is from (although I grant you his part of queens may be better than mine….actually I take that back! Queens village is lovely… flushing in one direction, Belmont in the other and Jamaica for safety!!!)

Remember he only renounced queens for Florida 3 years ago!!!

Anyway trump is seriously going to tweet himself into a witness tampering charge…telling the former Georgia lt.general not to turn up for a grand jury hearing when he was subpoenaed to…. Then attacking him

Not smart, a bit illegal to ask, and a vailed threat…. 1st amendment freedom of speech ain’t covering you for that!

I know you didn’t ask me what my distaste for trump was… but it starts will illegally not renting property to minorities, goes through the Central Park 5, ends with Jan 6 and taking national security documents… and in the middle has affairs, sexual assault allegations, famously not paying people for services rendered, bankrupting Atlantic City, mocking disabled people, access Hollywood…using charities funds for his own gain, and yet, apparently, the best republican to run the country!

A) if he tried to self pardon that would come up to the Supreme Court

B) can’t use his pardon in a state case… which is why Georgia would be interesting … in Georgia the governor can’t pardon him either!

Do I trust THIS version of the Supreme Court…. Bearing in mind it overturned Roe and gutted the civil rights act…. To do the right thing? Not really! But if we are saying no person is above the law, that would have to be a whole lot of mental and legal gymnastics the court would need to do to allow self pardons… just because of the legal precedent it would be setting

Even though the court is technically 6-3 conservative… you think they would do trump that much of a solid?

You stated is it written in judicial conduct ? not really I didn't. It's a presidential right to pardon . Show me the legality that a president can't pardon oneself? Is it written into judicial law ? No it is not. The supreme court is following judicial law. According to state constitutions and federal are they not ? Guess we shall see. I like this so called cult you refer to. Basically she is going after him and basically his entire upper level political operation and calling them a criminal operation under Georgia’s RICO act… they are talking about the infamous phone call between trump and the Georgia Secretary of State… the fake electors scheme.. intimidation of Georgia officials including ruby moss, Brad rathinsburger, and Brian kemp, passing themselves off as official Georgia officials…

I can bet they are going to use all his own tweets against him

Trump has a huge problem.. because remember they are all state charges he cannot pardon them and keep them all out of jail!

Let’s see who flips to try and save their own skins…..

I don’t think the New York hush money case should ever have been brought….

So in terms of danger and importance.. jan 6 trial will come 1st.. then the secret documents.. Georgia in effect doesn’t matter when it comes to trial as he can’t pardon himself for the that one…

I actually have visions of him trying to flee the country rather than going to jail… I don’t know why but I think he is going to give it a go!

See who gets to him first!

He has to present himself for arrest in Georgia by next Friday.

Seems to be quite a queue developing to get him in the dock.

"Mr trump does have free speech under the first amendment, just like the democrats who did not accept his presidency for 4 years, not my president was the chant.

Mrs Clinton was gracious in defeat. even though she funded and pushed the Steele dossier so that the democract voters had something to suck up for most of Mr trumps presidency."
