"It was perhaps 1 of the most important votes, reflecting the importance of democracy and it was treated with contempt by many. I noticed some recipients of honours that should be withdrawn, failed to vote,etc. " The report itself was important, laying out what is and isn't acceptable behaviour, and setting a precedent for the level of punishment appropriate for the offences committed. But the vote wasn't important at all. The man in question had already removed himself from post, so the recommended punishment couldn't be applied anyway. | |||
