Dales companies have received 36m in subsidies fromt he taxpayers.

Actual subsidies. Not tax accounting.

By "REVEALED", you mean that he gave an interview to The Times about it, 3 months ago.

I'm not quite sure where the news value is in someone running a company which benefits from Tory policies, but who personally supports Labour.

I'm not sure what the point is here?

Dale Vince (sound fella actually) has donated 1.5m to JSO aswell as donations to Labour MPs, have received subsidies from a Tory govt.

Am I missing something?

So we ha e a just stop oil sponsor. Who's also sponsoring the labour partyand indivodual labour mps.

Seems this could be seen as lobbying

But he also received money to do this via green incentives.

I thought people on these forums love tedious links.

Man given free green money, gives money to group that further green policies, amd donates to parties pushing further green policies.

All the while. Breaking the law.

People seem to cry on this forum when a man merely hands over a phone number.

I find large political party donations hard to accept without risk of conflict.

(Or individual MP donations. Or benefits in kind)

I don't get the relevance of the past subsidies given by the other party. If imagine most businessmen can benefit from lobbying. So to show he's received previous benefit doesn't add much for me.

Was this all declared correctly ? I assume so given that angle hasn't been taken.

You mean 'man whose company receives free green money, gives his own personal money to the political party that isn't controlling green policies'. I'm sure you're fully familiar with the difference between company money and personal money.

Hes donating .only to labour and individual mps.

And the also funding an organisation breaking the law.

Therefore labour are kowtowing to a lobbying group and funded by the same funder.

I genuinely thought this was how this forum worked?

There's nothing dodgy or sleasy about that. Lots of people donate to the Labour party.

But not breaking the law himself. I personally don't like that he's funding Just Stop Oil, but everyone has the right to make their own choices.

But this is not what this forum is about. Simply introducing Johnsons aid to a 3rd party was sleazy...

Nobody has said Sharp broke the law. He failed to disclose a potential conflict of interest during the recruitment process for a role he was only in the frame for due to Johnson the PM putting him forward after Sharp had helped (facilitated) Johnson secure a loan while he was under financial stress.

You know what our take on this is? A Conservative government giving out grants and this particular time someone gave their grant mine to Labour. It just shows all parties are involved in wasting tax payer money.

Folk in power are very good at obsfucating things, and especially good at hiding how much of the tax we pay actually goes to useful causes as opposed to their chums.

I’m sure someone with either the right knowledge/experience or at least someone who believes they know everything, can correct this but...

If a company has received Govt grants to achieve XYZ then they will need to have an auditable “paper-trail” as evidence. The owner of the company cannot use those grants to then pay themselves dividends so that they can then use the money to personally donate to anyone else, in this case Stop Oil. You can only pay dividends from post corporate tax profit.
