There are still strikes, food is expensive as hell, fuel ain’t coming down to pre Ukraine levels still, interest rates are high, millions are paying more money because inflation is still running high.

But don’t worry we are more interested about immigration which doesn’t make a blind bit of difference to what we are actually going through, and we are arguing over a millionaire ex footballer criticising the government.

we should be focusing on the sheer incompetence of this government, not football focus.

Are you saying that the Tories are paying the millionaire ex-footballer to post things about them, in order to distract from the government's other problems?

No, not quite. But they have their bloodhounds in the media on high alert to pounce on any story they can amplify and divert attention from what the actual governments are doing.

The wealthiest people in the world aren't spending their millions buying up media and donating to parties out of the generosity of their heart.

Interesting statistic from Kuensberg today

“Take for example this statistic from the Institute for Fiscal Studies: in 1997 more than 60% of people on middle incomes between the ages of 25 and 35 owned their own homes. Twenty years later, that figure had slumped to just over 20%.”

Should we be talking about how crap our government is rather than a presenter pointing out the disgusting behaviour of said government?

Deflection from the true state of the UK.

Record poverty, stagnant economy, record debt, corruption in government . But no let’s attack a celebrity for a tweet.

They can’t blame the eu now so are getting desperate.

I suspect we'll see a hell of a lot of this sort of thing until the next election. Mainly since the Tories can't run on their record because it's awful.

You're damn right this is being used as a distraction and from reading the comments on numerous news channels social media platforms it would appear the public have fallen for for it with countless people calling for Gary Linekers head on a stake but nobody calling for Matt Hancock's.

Britain has become a very strange place the last few years and whilst I'm not a conspiracy theorist I can't help feel some of the COVID theories are becoming the case ie it was all about control. The public are certainly being controlled now. Controlled in to believing Garv Lineker is the root of all evil. Controlled in to thinking nurses needing a pay rise are greedy. Controlled in to thinking Matt Hancock controlling them is a good guy because he was a good laugh on I'm a Celebrity.

It's total control and like sheep millions are going along with it. The amount of comments in response to Gary Lineker for example. They are all the same. Yeah but he should stick to football, his contract says this, his pals shouldn't be doing that. Everyone making out they're experts on Gary Lineker now when you know damn well they don't know the first thing about him. They are all just jumping on a bandwagon and going along with the narrative like pathetic sheep without a thought of their own in their tiny brains.

It's really quite worrying that after all the Tory shitshows that something so trivial but also correct now has the these Tory bastards looking like victims.

The selective outrage monumental.

The Tories have been behind every bad political decision since 2010. They’ve never taken any responsibility for this, blaming everyone else but themselves, and living in self denial.

Bedroom tax

Changes to social care

Underfunding every instrument in government.

They will pay dearly in the next election.

What would be your view if they didn't pay dearly at the next GE?

Would you consider that you might be out of step in your thinking, would you believe it was more down to the tory PR machine or a lack of a credible opposition maybe?
