Close to a Deal the Northern Ireland Protocol - Boris is stalking

Interesting to see they are now getting compromise on this.

Rishi wants this to go a smoothly as possible to bring credibility back to the Conservative Party, however the only fly in the ointment is Boris

There is a distinct possibility that he would openly criticise the arrangement, which may open warfare between moderate Brexiteers and the Hardcore Brexiteers in the party.

This would then provide him back with an in road back to number 10, sure he's making a bucketful of money on the speaking circuit.

But having money isn't the same of being power.

Can the tories survive this, that is the question.

Why would Rishi want to restore credibility to the Tory party?

Boris has a team of handlers behind him. They just have to develop the plan, write the script, and then wind him up and set him off! There is little substance if you scratch the surface.
