Brexual healing?.

From the land of haribos.

First of all. I like the heading as it comes from the song, sexual healing lol. I read an article about it in the politico, with the same heading.

It seems that eu and britain dream of a fresh start in 2023 and apparently it seems to be a possibility, that is what could happen, they said that it will prove a transformative year for the uk-eu relationship.

They also mentioned that downing street is now showing a willingness to conclude thorny negotiations over how gibraltar and northern ireland both british territories with eu land borders — will conduct business with the 27-country bloc, deals on both issues could be signed off in the early part of 2023.

What is your view of it? Is there a possibility that there are signs that there could be some healing going on? I think there is, which is good news to both sides

In order to appease the Irish-American vote, Biden is already pressuring the UK to sort out the NI impasse.

No real problem, the UK's "soveriegn" standards will simply have to mirror the EU's so export from one area to the other is seamless, but needs careful selling to the UK's great unwashed.

It maybe a coincidence but to me it seems ever since boris and Liz departed things started to improve. Both sides seem to have found wiggle room in details that were once said to be fixed. Still a way to go especially over the NI protocol

Rishi will have to roll over and accept most from the EU side. He has a weak negotiating hand thanks to Bojo. The protocol will get tinkered but without any real change to the substance. The DUP will have to find another excuse not to go back into government with a Sinn Fein first minister. Unreal how a democratic vote in 2023 cannot be fulfilled due to the stubbornness and disgraceful stance of a political party. But hey we have the Tories doing that daily.

I heard that about 1-3 of brexiters are now regretting brexit and want to have it how it was, so yes, it does come in a good timing, as it could heal and get a better deal

I'm not saying that I think the re join party will do well but that if your statement about brexiteers is accurate then they should do well. They would have a better chance with PR
