Sunak asked the homeless guy he handed food to what business he was in. He then went on to ask what plans the homeless guy had for the weekend.

So, yeah, your guess sounds pretty close...

Sunak seems to think 'homeless' means 'doesn't have a second home'. The clip of him talking to the homeless guy needs to go viral so anybody who thinks the tories have any idea of the brutalities of real life can be properly informed.

Exactly this. Someone with a couple of mil in their account, and someone homeless are both so poor and destitute to him he can't tell the difference.

I think Tories deliberately make people homeless and poor for photo ops.

It’s smacks to me of poverty porn. Rich “saviours” coming in to help the cold huddled masses.

If they really wanted to do something, call a GE, put their 12 years record to account to the people, see what they think.

The electorate did not vote for a government led by him.

In fairness, I expect Sunak thinks that homeless chap should just marry the daughter of a billionaire.Then he'd be sorted for life.

When he asked the guy if he wanted to work in finance it felt like the poor guy briefly thought Rishi might offer to sort him a job.

It became more obvious than ever before during the Brexit negotiations how out of touch these people are. During the pandemic it was even worse. I am not sure how Sir Keir Starmer is going to be any different. Receiving a Knighthood for just doing your job is not very relatable to the voters. Plus Sunak attending a homeless shelter just highlights how unsuccessful his party and the party before have been.

No commitment at all to hold another brexit referendum, despite a vast majority favouring that in light of the clear economic disaster and chaos which is the reality of the biggest act of self-harm since lemmings discovered cliff-jumping.

If you listen to his ruthlessly ambitious and dangerous shadow health secretary, Wes Streeting, the prospects for the NHS are frightening.

So, blue tories or red tories, it's a horrific choice. Fortunately for Scotland, we are on a different journey.

I'm hoping Starmer is just being v careful at the moment with what he says/does to give as little ammo as possible to certain right wing media. They will use anything they can to destroy him if they get the chance.

Time will tell, I guess...

Correct. He has to tread a very careful path, and those lamenting Corbyn with their 'blue tories' mantras don't get that. As for the 'it's different for Scotland' lobby, not yet it isn't, and I do wish the SNP weren't such a one-issue party, much as I sympathise with their objectives.
