"Shouldn't he be suspended due to the investigation in to his bullying allegations. I think it shows yet another sham cover up, and he will stay in post. Whatever happened to Innocent until proven guilty?" balance of risk. I'd want a teacher accused of abuse to be suspended. Just in case. Where I'd draw the line ... Not sure.

"Every single one of those folk claiming to be bullied needs to get out of their job. We don't weak minded and emotional people in positions of influence or authority." Yes, that'll embolden the bullies, they can move to the next rung, get them out too. Until the entire civil service are Mad Max baddies.

"Every single one of those folk claiming to be bullied needs to get out of their job. We don't weak minded and emotional people in positions of influence or authority." So people who are bullied or intimidated are the ones at fault? Is this for every job category? The "weak" should be driven out and left unemployed? Are bullies, by definition those who should be in charge due to their "strength" and "confidence" and "dominance"? We need more people like Putin, maybe to make the world a better place?

"Shouldn't he be suspended due to the investigation in to his bullying allegations. I think it shows yet another sham cover up, and he will stay in post. Whatever happened to Innocent until proven guilty?" This thread is entitled "Government of Integrity" As any politican, let alone a Cabinet Minister, let alone the Minister of Justice, wouldn't integrity require you to step aside I told the investigation was completed. If nothing else it would ensure that it was completed quickly so that you could get back to your job rather than hoping people forget.

"Every single one of those folk claiming to be bullied needs to get out of their job. We don't weak minded and emotional people in positions of influence or authority." Oh I agree. We don't want weak people who bugger off on holiday when Afghanistan is falling and it's their job to... oh... oops.

"Shouldn't he be suspended due to the investigation in to his bullying allegations. I think it shows yet another sham cover up, and he will stay in post. Whatever happened to Innocent until proven guilty?" In my employment, I have seen others suspended as it is the norm, especially in cases of bullying. So it isn't about innocent until proven guilty for me, it is about procedure, and me wondering why this procedure is different for the government?

"...and on we go. "Third of staff allege bullying in Raab’s private office team Exclusive: Leaked annual survey shows fourfold rise in harassment claims in justice ministers’ office" https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/dec/15/third-of-staff-allege-bullying-in-raabs-private-office-team" . If the story is leaked maybe there needs to be an investigation into who leaked the story and action taken against then for breaching various codes of conduct. They have probably committed a criminal offence by releasing. such information. If there was any validity to these claims there would be no need to make them public . We just have the actions of a few disgruntled individuals seeking publicity for themselves. .

" This is pertinent to the fact that Raab is already under public investigation for the bullying of eight individuals, so it indicates a pattern of behaviour. The Government is perfectly at liberty to conduct an internal investigation and discipline or prosecute however they feel is appropriate. The fact that the information has been leaked does not speak to its validity in any way though. Also, anonymously leaking information is the opposite of "seeking publicity". How are you always so confused by simple concepts, Pat?

The hardly have a valid case if they see the need to seek publicity. They are simply attention seekers.
