"Good on her for never accepting "no" and fighting for what she thinks is in the best interests of her country " I can't help thinking that she is actually fighting for what she thinks is in her best interests and it doesn't matter that the great kingdom of Scotland is traduced into the people's republic of Jockistan in the process.

"Good on her for never accepting "no" and fighting for what she thinks is in the best interests of her country Quite. But the country already voted and did not agree with what she wants." Democracy doesn’t end after a vote. We have general elections every 4 years because that’s how democracy works. By your principles there would never be another election. The UK is a car crash after brexit. Imagine England and Scotland had got married back in 2014. It’s all lovely in the first couple of years. Then England turns out to be a gambler who bets all the money and the house on a dodgy idea and looses everything. Scotland very clearly didn’t want to bet anything on the dodgy idea. Grounds for a divorce.

" And that goes to the heart of how English people view Scottish people. It was wrong when you used derogatory words to describe black people, Chinese people, people from India, Pakistan or Ireland. That’s how you have treated people all over the world and you wonder why so many Scottish people want out of this stinking Union.

"Good on her for never accepting "no" and fighting for what she thinks is in the best interests of her country The best interests of the SNP are not necessarily the best interests of Scotland." The best interests of the Tory governments are not in the best interests for working people. Your financial markets told you that! Your economy crashed and billions lost from the treasury. Public money.

There's a tour but its not promoted very well. Where did you hide your shite? Because that's what independence means, taking on the shite as well.

That’s how you have treated people all over the world and you wonder why so many Scottish people want out of this stinking Union. " This response is a perfect microcosm of the nationalist position: wrong, inaccurate and inconsistent. Wrong: I'm not from England; Inaccurate: Even taking the loosest interpretation of what I wrote, there is nothing describing black people, Chinese people, people from India, Pakistan or Ireland; Inconsistent: If mocking the nationalists socialist goals as creating 'the people's republic of Jockistan' is derogatory, then calling the current United Kingdom a 'stinking Union' must also be derogatory. Why let accuracy get in the way of a good rant, Scottish people played a more than insignificant role in the growth and maintenance of the Empire. For example, Africa was largely opened to colonisation by Blantyre's favourite son Dr Livingstone. Pot - Kettle - Black.

"This is where people forget about the Brexit vote, it was a national vote. In Scotland 40% voted to leave the EU. Back in 2014 45% voted to be independent. Now slot of the 40% that voted in 2016 were SNP supporters but that is forgotten about and if we got independence in 2014 we be out of the EU anyway. If independence happened I guarantee that the aftermath of that would have dominated political landscape and no Brexit vote would have happened. People need to do their homework and research. Things are not as simple as they seem. The argument will never go away even if there was another referendum that returned a NO outcome cause if the SNP and greens are still elected they will say they have another mandate. It will be a revolving door trying to wear people down instead of governing the Scotland and doing the job they are handsomely paid for. " A lot not New slot

"How many times does Nicola sturgeon need to be told no by everyone before accepting no as an answer" If the ppl keep voting snp which they are doing, then they are only doing what the voters are asking them to do and that is to end westminister rule in scotland

"How many times does Nicola sturgeon need to be told no by everyone before accepting no as an answer" From what I read on the BBC she is going through the options in order of preference. First was get the PM to agree to a referendum. This failed as the last 3 have said no. Not sure what Labour's opinion on this is. Second was hold her own referendum. For this she needed legal clarification but the court's ruled against. So last is using the next GE as a defaco referendum. The slightly odd thing in this option is she used to claim it was a unionist trap

As I said another No happens and we are back to the same cycle. When does it stop?

The following election there is a pro independence party majority in government which then gives them another mandate for another referendum. That's the cycle we will always go through. Hence when I said might not want independence but the voters in elections do. Does that make sense?
