North West

The U.K. has just appointed its fifth Prime Minister since 2016.

By comparison, we had 5 Prime Ministers in total over the preceding 37 years.

What on earth happened in 2016 to generate this utter chaos and instability?

Jiggered if I know - but as a card carrying member of the tofu eating wokerati it's probably my fault somehow

The "anti-growth coalition" lost in 2016 and it all went right. Didn't it?

I think that he'll stick around until the election.

He seems to be naturally cautious so he won't be doing anything dramatic anyway. He also has the benefit of the right wing of the party having screwed everything up. They have been the problem so despite them trying, they probably won't have the influence they did previously.

It won't be a good few years by any stretch, but it won't be chaos.

Depends very much on his cabinet though as some of them may we'll bring the chaos...
