A bat shit crazy cartoon who acted on impulse and his views and actions changed like the wind, depending on who he was talking to. The media and world leaders had no clue what he would say or do from one day to the next. This bat shit crazy unpredictability meant that many leaders and politicians would just do or say the minimum to ensure they don't rattle his cage and get a barage of death and fury tweets at 3am aimed at them. Putin appeared to have Trump in his pocket at various press conferences but Trump also took policy actions that were anti Russia so Putin never felt in complete control of any situation imvolving Trump so his actions were limited throughout the 4 years. Old, senile and diplomatic Biden comes in and Putin immediately feels like the Strong man again and has no fear of the actions of the supposed weak Biden. Thoughts? "  | |||

Trump either looked like a strong leader, or a lunatic, depending which side of the fence you stood on. Neither of those options gives America's enemies a warm feeling. Biden on the other hand looks like a doddery old fool, and doesn't dispel that image when he starts to speak. He doesn't inspire fear in his enemies, especially in comparison to Trump. So yes, if Trump was still in power, Putin would still be conducting exercises on the border. Let's hope that the US doesn't see that as a reason to re-elect him. | |||
