The Faily Heil changed their front cover headline between print runs. First lot had headline slating Gove for being disloyal. Second focused on 45p rate not being cut.

Lolz!

There now needs to be SFO investigation into Kwasi’s champagne lunch with hedge fund managers, including ex-boss Odey to look at timing of them shorting the £ and the policy announcement. Everyone can see this us market manipulation.

"Will the risen mortgage rates also u-turn ?"

Probably not.. it’s just that there now might be one less rate rise in the future according to Bloomberg TV (fascinating watch and they kept it simple to understand)

The fact the BOE basically had to spend 65 billion to clean up their mess, which is the same amount as doubling the wage of every single person working in the NHS, speaks volumes to the way they fucked This up and messed up the messaging!

Ideological warfare and sheer arrogance of Truss and Kwartang.

They would have been hailed as the saviours of the UK*if they had:

1. Reversed NI increases (they did)

2. Raised tax free threshold (and aligned NI threshold) to £13,000

3. Reversed the tax free allowance for those earning £100-123k (giving the wealthier something by claiming it is fairer and avoid optics of removing 45p band).

4. Left corporation tax at current level.

5. Introduced tax incentives to encourage business innovation and growth through R&D and job creation.

*not saying I agree they would have been saviours but that is how it would have been positioned.

Edit point 3 - reversed tax free allowance clawback.
