My preference would be to abolish the monarchy and take every last penny of stolen wealth from them....

But as an alternative, crowdfunding the entire cost of the monarchy, and any associated events and property would be a way to ensure that only those that hate democracy and prefer to live with the vestiges of feudalism can choose to pay for it out of their own pockets, and the rest of us can choose not to.

In fairness thats a decision the King makes after consulting his advisors. Essentially people let him know if it would piss a lot of folk off and then he decides what to do.
