Don't even bother. Sums up the state of politics right now. Short memories and an obsession with winning is what got BJ to where he is. There's no true political substance in his ascension to being PM. Nothing but celeb status made Johnson leader. I would however like to add my addition to the reason of why it was Johnson who was chosen to be PM. As you mention, he is driven by the grandiose of success. He had become a public figure through TV, a welcoming, buffoon, relatable and the mayor of London. The Leninist, Dominic Cummings had been skulking around the upper echelons of the conservative party, looking to reform the country and bring about the UK exit from the EU. Cummings saw the opportunity to achieve through Johnson, he took it with both hands. Johnson, then took a bite out of the hand that fed him, he tried to distance himself from the person that was creating the policy.... They have now, run their course | |||
