"Putin always puts the blame for any problems on someone else so don’t expect Gorbachev to be treated with any honour or respect….it’s a bit like Brexiteers and the EU " Yea strange that yet another opponent of Putins war has just taken a dive out of a hospital window And just to point out most of the moaning seems to be from the remainers on here

Standard practice for an autocrat. I personally see no connection between those who voted stay and critics of Putin. I am however begining to wonder if Brexiteers secretly like Putin's way of doing things.

The you tube channel Bald and broke visited Gorbachev's home town and he was vert unpopular with many residents . " What made you look at that channel

Sometimes wonder is, rather than Championing "our winning if the cold war" and rubbing some very stingy salt in big painful wounds that that West should have embraced Russia more to make their sacrifices worthwhile. It's a lot like making friends with the kid in the playground you can't stand, just to get your hands on his endless supply of sweets and chocolate but tell him to get lost when he wants to play. Did we isolate Putin instead of making him feel that what happened in 1991 was actually a good thing? Thatcher started the terminology we won. We won nothing, we had a chance of lasting peace but blew it? I am not condoning any aggressive or murderous behaviour, but have inadvertently pushed him this way?
